A Quick Trip

This past week we went on a quick trip to visit Grandma and Grandpa in Montana. The first leg of the drive from home to Rexburg there was a lot of crying babies and traffic. We made it to Aunt Tara's house and got some sleep and breakfast, and then hit the road again.

As soon as we got to Grandma's house the kids and Grandpa went out to pick raspberries.

Clara loved picking the berries and putting them in her bucket.
I just loved eating the berries.

In the garden to pick peas!

Surprise Grandma picture!

Found this rhubarb in the garden.
Looking at Disney pictures.
The next day the kids wanted to go fishing.

At first they mostly caught moss.
But then Matt hooked this little guy.
Letting the fish go.

Later that night we drove up into the mountains to have a hot dog roast.

More fishing in the river this time. Anna got one!

At the Hamilton Farmer's market Saturday morning.

We drove back to Tara's and the kids loved jumping on her trampoline.
Boing!

A few thousand bugs on our bumper.

Sunday morning we loaded up one more time and went to Carissa's mission farewell talk and then headed for home.

Anna Turned 10!

Anna got to go to Trefoil Ranch camp this week with her girl scout troop.
While she was gone, Matt built this sweet bike and scooter rack with PVC pipe.
Anna helped decorate her birthday cake when she got back from camp.
And later we ate the cake. I love Clara in the background semi-patiently waiting (just gimmie some cake!)
 Baby Anna.
The kids and our friend Emily at the pool.

July So Far

Matt and Eve
Tummy time and laundry folding time

Sometimes Clara's hair gets EXTRA wild.
Since Evelyn was born I have been watching her eyelashes grow in.

Our 4th of July fireworks.
Eve is two months old! She is getting stronger, sleeping better and we are starting to see her personality start to show.

The annual neighborhood Canada Day parade. Clara is ready to collect some candy.
Anna and Matt's swim lessons.

Today we made some "moon sand" with flour and baby oil. It was fun and messy!!

Until we were done. Then it was just messy.
Yesterday we visited the newly renovated Bean museum at BYU. Clara loved it!
After the museum, we went over to the duck pond on the south side of campus. They have recently added this walkway and railing, and we had so much fun watching all the ducks, ducklings and turtles!
