Granny's Gravy Update

Here's answer some of the questions I got about the Thanksgiving day race.

1. The race will be before the feast. I was thinking around 8:00, but probably whenever people are awake.

2. Yes, I will mark the course.

3. I think a shorter race for kids is a great idea! I was thinking maybe we could do that on the track. I just get nervous about kids running on the road. If anybody wants to join in for just part of it, Grandma suggested having a sag-wagon to pick up people or you could just pick a point near the end and start there.

4. I think I may be too lazy/cheap to design and print shirts, so I have an idea for some medals at the end.
Okay, that's it. If anyone has any other questions or ideas let me know-it's going to be fun!

1st Annual Granny's Gravy 5K

Hey everyone. Kent and I were planning on running the local turky trot on Thanksgiving morning. But we decided to go up to Montana for Thanksgiving instead. And since there isn't a local 5k in Hamilton that day, I have devised my own race route which you can check out here: http://www.mapmyrun.com/route/us/mt/hamilton/683128866394656082 . Anyone is welcome to run it with us. It starts at Granny McLean's house up on Weber Drive and ends at the other McLean's house on Ravalli street. I think I'm going to make shirts, so let me know if you want to run it!

Peeved

Why are there so many jerks in the Walmart parking lot? Why can't people JUST take their empty cart to the cart corral thingy? It seems that as soon as a person exits the store with a cart, they immediately turn into the laziest person on earth. This has been bugging me ever since we had a Walmart built only a few blocks from our house. I have seen people drive their cart up to their car, unload their foodstuffs, get in their car and drive away while their cart is still sitting there in the same spot. Gosh!

Only 334 Days to Go...

Phew! it's finally January 31st! Is it just me or does it seem like January takes forever?!

Well, I have managed to keep McLean365 going for the whole month, and I have to say it hasn't been as hard as I thought it would be. Usually the hardest part is choosing which picture to post for the day. So I thought it would be fun to post some of the pictures that didn't make McLean365 here.

This picture totally cracks me up. I don't know if it's the grumpy face or the Star Trek shirt.

Matt "in the zone" while playing xbox.

This is an outtake from the taco night post. I have ended up using the timer on my camera a lot so I can be in the photo. This was a long exposure shot, and it took a couple of tries because the kids had a hard time holding still long enough!

Anna loves playing with the pink lego set she got for Christmas.

This is another outtake, trying to get everyone in place before the camera takes the picture.
Well, that's it. Happy February everyone!

Christmas Jammies

This is us on Christmas Eve in our PJ's. We had a really great, relaxing Christmas which involved a lot of xbox, watching movies and eating treats. Happy new year everyone!
p.s. I started a new blog http://mclean365.blogspot.com, where I have challenged myself to post a new picture everyday.
